Voting Precinct Changes

New Voter Registration Cards are being mailed to voters in Precinct 505 (Colonial Hills Hernando) and the newly formed Precinct 510 (Hernando Hills Elementary). Voters who receive new cards, should destroy the old ones.

Why are the Change?
The DeSoto County Election Commission notified the DeSoto County Board of Supervisors that Longview Point Baptist Church will no longer be available for voting. Also, Longview Point precinct was the largest in the county with approximately 5,400 active voters. It is now being split into two precincts.

o Precinct 505 Colonial Hills Hernando: 1225 Monteith Ave, Hernando, MS 38632
o Precinct 510 Hernando Hills Elementary: 570 McIngvale Rd, Hernando, MS 38632

What if I didn’t get a new Registration Card?
You can contact the Circuit Clerk’s office by phone 662-469-8365. You can also go to the Circuit Clerk’s office located in the DeSoto County Courthouse at 2535 Hwy 51 South, Room 200 Hernando, MS 38632. You can verify that your voter registration is up to date through the Voter Registration Inquiry found on DeSoto County's Election webpage.

What About Other Precincts?
No other precinct changes are being made at this time. Voters are encouraged to review their voter registration card to determine their precinct. You can verify your precinct by going to the Voter Registration Inquiry website. You will find a link on the DeSoto County Election Information page.
