DeSoto County's K-9 SAR team is trained in locating missing persons, evidence, cadaver's, drugs, and etc. While the teams are trained to do many things each canine has been trained for a special ability such as person tracking, cadaver tracking, and scent tracking. The K-9 teams have continuations training.
